Mental Health & Well-being Education & Training Providers (MIEACT)

Brief

Jackett were asked to create an Interactive online Mental Health Program for young people aged between 10 and 15 years. Following this programs immediate success Jackett were then asked to create an online resource and learning platform for Stress & Me, another MIEACT student initiative geared towards two age groups, grades 5 & 6 and the second is years 7, 8 & 9.

Outcomes

These resources are being taught to every student in the ACT and the program is likely to be expanded out into the broader Australian schools network with Federal Government backing. All online metrics have been put in place to track online traffic throughout the programs. The Stress and me program is likely to be updated again in coming months.

MIEACT

Mental Illness Education ACT (MIEACT) is the primary local mental health and well-being education provider for workplaces, community groups and secondary schools across the Canberra region and surrounding area.

MIEACT deliveres evidence-informed programs, partnered with lived experience stories that increase mental health literacy, promote early intervention, reduce stigma and emphasise recovery.

Working with Teachers and Principles, these programs are targeted to all students within specific age groups (Grades 5 & 6 and years 7, 8 & 9) within the Australian Capital Territory.
